Playing poker as your full-time job, is it a dream? It's not easy, but it is possible if you follow the procedures I'm going to tell you.
Is poker a game of chance or a game of skill?
Poker is one of the few forms of wagering where you can actually win. Casino-style betting is rigged against you (it is impossible to win in the long-run at craps/roulette/etc. no matter what anyone says. The only exception is blackjack if you count cards, which is extremely, extremely difficult). Thus, poker is one of the few forms of gambling where one can actually win money in the long run simply by being good at the game.
In 1987, the united state's Supreme Court ruled that poker was a game of skill - and not a form of gambling.
Texas Hold'em is the most popular and the best poker games. Let's start with my own story.
I started to play poker in ParadisePoker at the beginning of 2003. After losing about 8000 play money (it's free), I formed my own poker playing style. From then on, my play money was growing up consistently to more than 40,000. Then I decided to play with real money. I funded $50 to my account and started to play at 0.02/0.04 table. After winning $50 my account reached 100 and I upgraded to 0.05/0.1 table. Then step by step, I upgraded to 3/6 table in October 2003. Since then, I averagely win more than $240 everyday.
